Assist Access/Maintain Employment
Helps individuals with disabilities to achieve their career goals. The support aids participants in searching for and maintaining employment along with skills development.

Assistance with -Travel/Transport Arrangements
Provides funding and support for NDIS participants who have difficulty using public transport due to their disability, helping them access community, social, recreational, and work-related activities. Services include assistance with using public transport, travel training, support with accessing vehicle modifications and providing appropriate transportation methods like taxis or ride shares, either as a formal service or with a support worker.

Assistance with Everyday Duties in a Shared or Group Living Situation (SIL)
Provides assistance and/or supervisions for participants with disabilities in daily living activities and shared living arrangements, aiming to develop their skills and promote independence. This includes support for tasks like household chores, host family arrangements or other shared accommodation settings. The goal is to help individuals live as autonomously as possible, with support for both short-term and ongoing needs.

Daily Personal Activities/Assist-Personal Activities
Supports participants to help with tasks of daily living, promoting independence and autonomy where possible. This includes assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation and cleaning, and is considered a certification support category requiring specific qualifications.

Participation in Community and Civic Activities
Supports participants to engage with their communities in creative and flexible ways, fostering skills development, new experiences, social connections and personal growth beyond standard community programs. Providers offer unique tailored activities like art workshops, mentoring and project-based initiatives.

Development – Life Skills
Support to individuals with disabilities to build essential daily living and life skills, helping them to live more independently, participate in the community and increase their personal confidence and well-being. This can cover a wide range of skills such as household management, cooking, shopping, using public transport, money management and social skills development.

Household Tasks
Covers domestic support for people with disabilities, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping and home maintenance. The goal is to help participants maintain a safe, clean and functional living environment, increasing their independence and overall well-being at home.

Innovative Community Participation
Refers to the support category “assistance with social and community participation”, which provides funding for participants to engage in community life, join social groups and develop skills for independent community engagement such as attending workshops, classes or cultural events.

Group and Centre Based Activities
Group/Centre Activities
Supports participants to engage in group based social, recreational and educational activities within a community or centre setting. The category helps to develop new skills, improve social interaction and confidence, foster community engagement and achieve personal goals whilst participating in enjoyable programs.

Assist-Life Stage, Transition (Support Coordination)
Supports participants through significant life changes such as moving from school to adulthood or from a family home to independent living. It also provides short and long-term supports to help individuals build skills, confidence and independence, and to manage their supports to remain active in their community.
